Hmmm, Canvas Re-Use Messenger Bag?

This pic got me thinking.  A local grocery store here has these canvas bags that we load our groceries in.  Its about the size of this bag.  If I put pretty fabric over it, it could really look like a messenger bag, for real cheap and easy...  anyway, this pic gave me the lightbulb moment.  Now, will I ever get my act together and try this genius idea?

Messenger Bag

I love messenger bags, and one day I'll make one...

Sewing Lessons

If you've ever been confused about sewing, but wanted to, I think this little course (free) will help you recognize the different parts of a machine and how to sew too.  So far I've watched the first, very basic video, and if you are at all confused, it will help you identify the parts of your sewing machine very well.
Go to Chica & Jo for the ongoing video series.

Old Dress Shirts

Over time Jared has accumulated a few dress shirts.  He actually has accumulated many shirts, but I've never thought of the dress shirts as something I could repurpose.  This sleep sack is so cute, but for not exactly something I think I'd make.  Now a cute little dress... that I might try.

Bag Tutorial, In Depth

There are tons of tutorials.  And when I get the impulse I scan through them, but none seem as 'step by step' as this one.  Love it!
